At Horse ’N Soul, we grew up with horses. They were fellow farmhands and playmates. But they were also much more to us: noble soulmates with sensitive, healing hearts.
In the spring of 2004, equipped with great love and respect for horses, and a grand total of 10 of them, we started a small riding lesson business.
Our philosophy that riding is not only fun but life-changing resonated with people. Our students experienced joy and growth way beyond the arena. Their families, friends, neighbors, teachers, and employers noticed.
So our little business grew.
Today we’ve given riding lessons to more than 70 students. And in 2022, we officially launched Horse ’N Soul Equine Therapy, though we’ve been helping people heal with horses since before the discipline had a name.
We are two organizations in one location:
We offer lessons in various riding styles, teach horsemanship skills, prepare riders to show their horses, and offer camps and clinics for riders at all levels all year round. We also provide top-quality boarding services.
We are a 501(c)(3) that delivers equine-assisted therapy, equine-assisted learning, and therapeutic riding to adults and children with mental, emotional, physical, cognitive, or career challenges.
We are a Christian organization. We seek to glorify God with everything we do, in and out of the saddle.
Not all our riders are Christian, and that’s okay! Our lessons and programs are for everyone.
Horses are highly attuned to humans. When we’re with them, they match our energy.
But on a deeper level, horses just get us. They don’t merely match our energy but reveal our hearts.
When you allow yourself to be present with a horse and pay close attention to him, you will learn so much about yourself.
This self-awareness is powerful. You can use it to change your life.

Authentic, supportive relationships are our top priority in our Riding Academy and across our equine-assisted services. We strive to know you and personalize the services we provide for you. And we take on new clients only if they want to know us, too. We don’t accept absentee boarders.
Horse ’N Soul is a family that includes our staff, students, and herd. We work hard to make you feel at home here, and to help you bond with the horses and with your fellow students.
Riding and horsemanship deliver outdoor experiences and hands-on skills that have gotten a little lost in the modern world. They help you discover what you’re capable of and believe in yourself.
Working with and riding horses is a privilege. To do it well, you must practice respect, patience, accountability, discipline, and leadership. These instill a sense of responsibility that our students carry forward into their lives.
Horses have been humankind’s partners for thousands of years for a reason. They relieve the challenges you have with your mind and body because they put you in touch with your instincts and heart.
With our equine-assisted therapy services, we bring this healing power to people of all ages looking for help, inspiration, solace, or something besides traditional therapy — something exhilarating but comfortable, too.
