Here’s why we require lessons for boarders:
Boarding Agreement: This document outlines our boarding services and your obligations.
Coggins Test Results: The Coggins test is a blood test that detects Equine Infectious Anemia. We require a negative Coggins test from a licensed veterinarian for each horse you board with us.
Each client receives a personalized document directly from Horse ‘N Soul, so contact us today to get the process started!
We feed our horses grain and hay twice per day. If you would like to provide different feed for your horse, we are happy to give that instead.
Our staff provides water to ensure that every horse has 24/7 access to clean, fresh water. We also scrub water containers once a week.
If your horse requires any dietary supplements or medicine, simply provide them to us and we’ll give them according to your direction.
We turn out horses daily, weather permitting, into our 118 acres of well-fenced pasture filled with grasses, trees, and run-in shelters.
Our standard for cleanliness equals our respect for horses. Both are uncompromisingly high. We clean the stalls from top to bottom once a day because you and your horse deserve it.
Horses naturally stay warm and dry, even in very cold and wet weather. However, when temperatures dip below 20°F, we will gladly blanket your horse with a blanket that you provide.
In each paddock, we release beneficial insects as a natural, environmentally friendly way to reduce stable flies and common houseflies. These insects target fly larvae and are not harmful to horses or people.
At regular intervals, we bring in professionals for shoeing, deworming, and floating (that is, performing dental work on) the horses. We’ll notify you when we do this so that you can schedule your horse for the care he needs.
Our barn features five 8×8 areas for grooming. Each area is equipped with saddle holders and bridle/halter hangers. While grooming services are not included in boarding, you may use our grooming facilities at any time.
Our barn features two areas for storing your tack, and for tacking up your horse in an environment where you’re both comfortable.
We offer two arenas for training and exercising your horse: an outdoor arena of 20,000 square feet with a river sand surface, and an indoor arena of 6,000 square feet with a sand/soil mixture.
Horse ’N Soul sits on 118 acres of Western Pennsylvania land It’s gorgeous in every season! As a boarder, you are free to ride your horse through our fields, or along our miles of trails, any time you like.
Horses are awe-inspiring. They combine size and strength with beauty and grace. They have a regal bearing, quiet dignity, and great power. And amazingly, they are wired for connection with us. Since ancient times they’ve helped us become better workers and better people.
Horses are designed to be out in the field for 23 hours every day. It’s where they love to graze, roam, and horse around with each other (it’s a figure of speech for a reason!). We honor their nature with spacious, lush paddock boarding and nearly 120 acres of pasture.
Horses are social animals who need consistent, focused attention from their owners and trainers. We ensure that our boarding clients visit, groom, and exercise their horses regularly. All our staff loves our magnificent four-legged friends too. We check in with them regularly.
The exceptional care we give the horses under our roof (and sky!) spills out of our love and respect for them. Our boarding accommodations and services are top quality, and our veterinarian is part of the Horse ’N Soul family. We ensure that each horse is healthy from mane to tail and head to hoof. They are bright and alert, and happy to see you!
